We and two friends often travel together and like to use tour buses to see the sights. We've used them in New York, Paris and Tallin. We even went on a 1960s bus in Toronto but none as charming as the Heritage Bus in Chester. The suspension was better than the 60s bus as well!
The driver and guide were charming and informative. Definitely the best tour bus we've ever been on.

We had a very enjoyable tour on your lovely bus, the driver Mike and Jean made it very entertaining, making us laugh throughout the trip The highlight for us was the snow which somehow found its way to us two mostly, as we were sitting on the top of the bus on the back seat We were laughing at the amazement on the faces of the people in the streets below as we left a trail of snow behind us It was a nice surprise We will tell all our friends what a wonderful time we had This is a must for all visitors to Chester - thoroughly enjoyed it!

WE VISITED CHESTER IN NOVEMBER AND WAS SURPRISED TO FIND HERITAGE TOURS STILL RUNNING, BUT WE ARE SO PLEASED, WE HAD FIVE DAYS IN CHESTER AND THIS LITTLE BUS WITH THE LOVELY PEOPLE THAT RAN IT MADE OUR HOLIDAY SO SPECIAL. WE NOT ONLY FOUND OUT MORE ABOUT CHESTER ON OUR RIDE THAN WE COULD HAVE HOPED TO, BUT THIS COUPLE OF PEOPLE THAT RAN THE BUS WAS FANTASTIC, WE WOULD GO BACK ON THE BUS WHEN WE GO BACK AND HAVE TOLD ALL OUR FRIENDS.THANK YOU X

We went on this tour and it was excellent. The driver and tour guide were very friendly and professional, the price was exceptional very good value for money. The tour guide was very knowledgable and made the tour informative but fun. We would definately recomend this tour to anyone visiting Chester and look forward to retaking the tour next year. The bus is surprisingly comfortable but I would advise people to wrap up warm.

Mike - I'd like to let you know all of us on the tour by Beryl Duggan's group of elderly people with failing sight emjoyed our trip on the "Pride Of Chester".
Furthermore, I'd like to say how much we appreciat your undertaking to carry us without charge! We hadn't realised this at the time, but I know I speak for all present when I say how grateful we are for this kindness. I'd also like to thank both Lee (Driver) and Barbara (Narrator) for their excellent good humour and courteous nature. The commentary was a real help to keep track of where we were going, and the facts about the City were both revealing and extremely interesting; in fact, it was the best history lesson I've ever had the pleasure to attend! There were so many facts to take in about the City, but the way in which they were put over made it easy to absorb and retain. So, all in all, it was a superb tour!
Thank you so much, again, for your generosity and a special thank you to Lee and Barbara, without whose input it just would not have been the same - in fact, should have the title "Pride Of Chester", not just the tour bus.
Kind regards from all of us on the tour that day, including helpers.

Mike the driver and mike the guide were utterly brilliant from start to finish. The welcome and the commentary were second to none. We learned much about chester and there was fun and humour all the way. Thankyou for making our experience so enjoyable, we shall definately use heritage tours again and will certainly reccomend to family and friends

Myself and 9 girlfriends had a fab day in Chester, made even more interesting and entertaining by enjoying a super trip on Mike's bus. We toured the town whilst he imparted great knowledge of Chester's history which was compelling, alongside great humour and friendliness. Mike is perfect for this role and, although the weather proved to swill us from the heavens, which added to the fun, we all thoroughly enjoyed him and his wonderful tour with the ancient bus. Fab day!!!!!!!!

This was a great way to tour Chester and I would definitely recommend Chester Heritage Tours as the only way to find out about Chester. Not only was it informative with loads of interesting stories and facts, but it was extremely funny - the Tour Guide has us all in stitches! So many times, these tours and fairly mundane and boring, but this was definitely the best by far. I doubt I'll never experience the likes again! Thank you. Chester facts will always be remembered because of your tour.

Hi Fred,
Just an e.mail to say how lovely Mike the driver of the bus was with all the teenagers boarding at Blacon. My little grandson Casius (6) loved him as he let him sit in drivers seat for photo, wear his cap and honk the horn.
He was so friendly and courteous and a credit to the Heritage Bus. I will certainly be recommending this mode of transport to everyone for weddings birthday trips and Proms.
Thank you very much......the bus made my grand-daughter's night

I enjoyed the tour and found the tour guide friendly and clear to understand, i wasn't overly impressed with the sexual comments thoughout the tour...cupping lane references, not just about the history of the lane but the jokes aout the guide giving a practical demonstration for a high fee.I understand it was meant as a joke but i found it off putting. Also comments about the hill that looks like a breast.
Before the tour guide appeared the driver came up to introduce himself and get our tickets, when my friend pointed out the ticket was for three ppl he was extreamly sarcastic about him being unable to read that. He then continued to make her the source of his jokes about no life jackets being under the seats. I belive he may have been trying to build a rapore but i felt like he was somewhat rude. Other than these things i did enjoy the history of the tour and felt it was fairly good value for the money.

What an excellent tour - the best city excursion we have been on yet. This was the first open top tour bus we found that actually supply umbrellas for everyone "up top" - a nice thought.

We have always loved visiting the UK and have long wanted to come to chester. It was fantastic, the bus is how we have always imagined and the guides were the best we have had anywhere, informative and funny. We will definitly be staying longer in Chester on our next visit!

Thank you for a great tour of your lovely city. Had limited time in Chester so this was the ideal way to see as much as possible. We have been on tours in other cities but can honestly say this was the best ever. Very friendly pair that made it interesting and fun.

Last time we were in Chester was May 2005 and really enjoyed the City. This time the bus tour was an added bonus. We really enjoyed both the Guys, their banter and the commentary was excellent. Great knowledge.

I've lived so close to Chester for years and never visited, decided to come for a day and saw the tour, well i just jumped on and spent a lovely half hour on it before doing a nice bit of shopping and a lovely meal. I can not believe I waited so long before coming. One thing is for sure, i won't be leaving it anywhere near as long next time!

I knew Chester as a place to go shopping from my friends in the UK, but I had no idea just how much history there was in the city. The bus tour was really informative and also good fun. Had a great time, thanks!

We have been frequent visitors to Chester over the past 10 years or so, using the city as a great place to shop and eat. However, today, we visited as 'tourists' with some relatives from further afield.
As 'tourists' we decided to take the bus tour, and we are delighted that we did. Somehow, from the top of the bus, we were able to see a totally different view of Chester, with a great insight into the history and atmosphere of the city. The tour guide was entertaining and knowledgeable and we really enjoyed the experience. Thank you.

I had the most enjoyable ride on the tour bus today. The driver and operator were so funny, they really made me laugh non stop for the whole journey. I also learnt many things about Chester along the way.
I wouldn't hesitate to go back and have another trip next time I'm in Chester and take my friends along too.
A throughly good time was had by all.
Thank you very much.

I always enjoy visiting Chester areound Christmas time, the city just seems made for this time of year. And I have to say there is no better way of taking in the atmosphere of the whole city in one go, before settling down to some shopping than the heritage tour. Thank you for a lovely half hour.
